It’s almost here, LIT babes. Our Super Bowl, so to speak. Black Friday is among us!

If you’re like us, Black Friday is right up there with Thanksgiving, the 4th of July, and New Years Eve on your top holidays list. It’s a day to shop with family and friends, treat yourself to that LIT look you’ve had your eye on, and of course FEEL GOOD about all of the great finds at unbelievable prices.

At LIT, we’re planning some incredible surprises for you (on Black Friday and beyond) so stay tuned for those are we roll them out. But in the meantime, let’s take a sneak peek at some of our must-have, latest trends and pieces at LIT, so you can start your shopping list. We know we’ve already started ours!

ALL THINGS OUTERWEAR

‘Tis the season for snuggling up, and that goes for when you’re leaving the house too. At LIT, jackets and outerwear have always been one of our absolute favorite items. A girl can never have too many jackets, and this season, we have some AMAZING options whether you want to dress it up or dress it down.

If you’re looking to keep it cas’, you’ll need a fleece teddy jacket in your closet. Try one in a neutral but unique color like army green or navy. The boxy look can be complimented nicely by a tighter bottom (think leggings or skinny jeans) to give some dynamism to the shape of your outfit. 10/10 would recommend.

When it’s time to dress it up, one of our favorite looks is a faux fur. This year we have some STANDOUT options in fun patterns and colors (dusty pink is one of our recent favorites) to give some variety to the tried-and-true faux fur you probably already have hanging in your closet. A faux fur is the perfect jacket to dress up your weekend night out, or to complete a holiday party outfit.

One more style to add to your list, whether you’re heading to work or for a night out, is a trench coat. With a longer cut, these will keep you warm and looking stylish. Find one that’s flattering to your desired look (whether that’s form fitting or a little boxier) and play around with colors. You can never go wrong with black, but think about other neutrals, like tan or khaki, that you can play around with.

CELEBRATING SWEATER SEASON

Who doesn’t love sweater season? Whether you’re rocking a sweater for your Zoom work meeting, or stepping out in a sleek sweater look, you’ll need a ton of options in your closet this winter. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered (LIT-erally).

No matter the occasion, a turtleneck or tunic is a great go-to. We’re loving mock necks this year! Go for a slouchy look and pair it with your favorite jeans or even leather leggings. That’ll give you some great contrast in the fit and flow of your outfit. Try experimenting with fun colors and patterns too. If you’re loving the animal print trend, try a leopard sweater in wintry colors! You’re anything but boring, so your sweaters shouldn’t be either.

If you want to spice up your sweater game, go for an off-the-shoulder option. This can make your sweater a bit more fun and daring, while still keeping you cozy in cooler temps. Off-the-shoulder sweaters are a great option for a night with the girls. Or, if you pair with some leather leggings or a skirt, you can dress it up and have an effortlessly cool outfit for your next event or date night.

BIG SLEEVES FOR BIG PLANS…

If you know us at LIT, you know that we’re all about all things big and bold. That goes for our dreams and our outfits to match. So, unsurprisingly, one of our absolute FAVORITE trends right now is big sleeves, or other styles that make a statement. Let’s bring the drama!

Sometimes, an asymmetrical cut or unique lines can make all the difference in your look — elevating your outfit beyond the basic, and making your look stand out from the rest. This is a great option for holiday parties or gatherings, whether they’re happening in person or if you want to step up your look on Zoom! Right now, we’re loving two styles in particular: one is the puffy shoulder top that your Mom rocked in the ‘80s. The other is the cold shoulder or off the shoulder top, which lets you play around with different lines in your look.

Finding a look with a fun sleeve, whether it’s a puffy sleeve top or an off the shoulder crop, can take your look to the next level. We have lots of options ready and waiting for Black Friday!
