GALENTINE’S GIFT GUIDE

Let’s face it: it’s been a long year, and we could all use a little love. So, this coming Valentine’s Day might be a welcome occasion to spread some love and positivity to your loved ones. While people tend to associate V-Day with romance and significant others, it doesn’t have to stop there. Valentine’s lesser-known sister holiday, Galentine’s Day, is on February 13th — and if you’re not celebrating with your girl friends, you’re missing out.

Wondering how to show your girls you appreciate them? We’ve got you covered with a Galentine’s Gift Guide for 2021. Pro tip: all of the following pair well with chocolate.

CRYSTALS & STONES

Every friend group has at least one girl who’s big into spirituality and good vibes. You know the type: she’s always ready to give advice based on your horoscope, organizes group outings to hot yoga, and manifests her goals to achieve big things.

For friends like these, consider giving them crystals or stones that speak to their inner metaphysical mindset. Select your stone based on her current goals and ambitions: maybe she needs a reminder to stay grounded. Maybe she needs confidence. Perhaps she needs some energy healing. Whatever her state, chances are, there’s a crystal for that. Not only will these help her feel good, but they’re absolutely gorgeous!

If this sounds like someone on your list, check out our new line of crystals, jewelry and apparel from My Metaphysical Maven, exclusively at LIT on Hanover Street!

SALON-QUALITY NAILS FROM HOME

I don’t know about you, but my nails have been seriously suffering after a months-long hiatus from the salon during quarantine. Chances are, your friends are feeling the same. And even for those that have been able to squeeze in a recent mani, they may be tempted to switch it up with some new designs or patterns, like the ones we all see on celebs’ Insta feeds.

Bring the salon to your girls with a premium press-on nail set. Recently, we’ve been obsessed with the acrylic sets from East Lux Co., a Boston-based company that creates beautiful, hand-painted press-on nails. They’re available in a ton of gorgeous colors and unique designs. This gift could count as a two-in-one: a stay-in spa night, and fresh tips. And if you’re able to gather with your Galentine’s — in person or on Zoom — applying these nails could be a great group activity to enjoy over a glass of wine!

A MASK SHE’LL ACTUALLY WANT TO WEAR

This year, face masks had a big moment: the unlikely fashion trend we never saw coming, but adopted across the globe. Face masks are so important to keep us healthy, but that doesn’t mean you have to settle for a surgical mask. The right face mask can absolutely make your outfit. So for your fashionista friends, consider giving the gift of a mask that she’ll actually want to wear.

Get your girl friend a mask in her favorite color or pattern. We love an animal print mask to compliment a neutral or all-black outfit; and, every girl needs a sparkly mask for those days or nights that call for dressing up. Want to take it to the next level? Throw in a gold mask chain to turn an everyday face mask into an enviable accessory.

WELLNESS PRODUCTS AND PATCHES

Give the gift of feeling good! For friends in need of a boost — especially those that are constantly looking for products that are vegan and ethically sourced — check out wellness products from The Good Patch (available at LIT to make it easy for ya!) The Good Patch provides discrete relief for your everyday needs, and those darker days (read: that time of the month, or the morning after GNO).

These plant-based patches can help wake you up or send you off to sleep; and, they even offer hemp-based patches for when you have your period or a hangover. To top it all off, they’re gluten free, dermatologically tested, paraben free, latex free, non GMO, cruelty free and vegan… so you can feel good about feeling good.

A GOOD OLD-FASHIONED VALENTINE CARD

In the age of email and DM, there’s something so satisfying and special about getting a good old-fashioned card in the mail. The simple gesture of sending a card can show your girls you’re thinking of them, while also evoking long-lost memories of childhood Valentine’s Days, when we all made cards for each kid in our class (a simpler time). As cute as that was, no need to break out the gluestick and make your own card… go for a cute and unique card that really speaks to her.

Chez Gagne is our go-to brand for cards on all occasions. Their mantra is “If you can’t make it nice, make it funny” — a sentiment we can 100% get behind.

Check out some of our fav Chez Gagne cards on our site and in our stores, and you’re guaranteed to find one that speaks to your girl friend — whether you opt for a casual “Hey Babe” greeting, or something a little cheekier.

Consider this gift guide our love letter to our LIT babes. And girl friends aside, we guarantee that you personally deserve every item on this list, and then some. So don’t be afraid to show yourself a little love too. You deserve it!
